ThePornDude Review: What the Famous Porn Directory Gets Right and Wrong

Last updated: · Written and fact-checked by Thalric Bjornfinn · How we rate

ThePornDude is a directory of adult websites. The home page is one very long scroll cut into category blocks, and each block is a numbered list of site names with a link out and a link to a short review. The site has been running since 2013, and its own pages put the catalog at over 14,000 sites (the About page) or over 15,000 reviews (the FAQ). I went through the home page, three category lists, two reviews and the About, FAQ and disclaimer pages on October 13, 2026, and everything below about ThePornDude comes from those pages on that day.

My take after that check: it's the quickest way I know to see what exists in a niche, free or paid. As a guide to whether a paid site deserves your card it's weaker, because the ranking method isn't published, the reviews carry no dates, and paid placements are allowed without being labelled.

What ThePornDude Is and Who It Suits

On the day I counted, the home page held 157 category blocks. They run from Free Porn Tube Sites and Top Premium Porn Sites through hentai, VR, cams and AI generators, and then out of porn altogether into betting sites, VPNs and sex doll shops. A lot of niches come in pairs, a free list and a premium list, so the tubes and the paysites for mature or Asian porn sit a few blocks apart.

The voice belongs to a cartoon mascot who swears a lot. The FAQ says plainly that "ThePornDude is a fictional character" and that a team writes the site. On PornDudeCasting.com the character is played by performer Donnie Rock, per the same FAQ. I couldn't find a company name or an owner on the About, FAQ or disclaimer pages.

It suits someone who wants a map. You've heard of a niche, you want every site that covers it, and you're fine doing the vetting yourself. It helps less once you've narrowed things to two or three paysites and want to know what the trial rebills to or how cancelling works.

How ThePornDude Is Built and How It Ranks

Each block shows a handful of names with a cut-off blurb and a "See all" button. On the home page those buttons added up to 9,778 list entries across 155 categories. One site often sits in several lists, so there are fewer distinct sites than that (I didn't count them). The counts also move: the home page showed 177 tube sites and 223 AI porn sites, while the menu on the premium category page the same day said 175 and 212.

A ranking here is a position. Lists run 1, 2, 3 down the page, with no score out of 10 and no sub-scores next to the names. Review pages end with plus and minus bullets and a "User Rating 5/5" line. The FAQ names eight criteria the team looks at, from content quality to value for money, but doesn't say what each one weighs or how they add up to a place on the list. The About page describes the intended use honestly enough: "just pick a category and start at the top of the list."

Take the premium list. On October 13 it opened with Brazzers, BangBros, SpiceVids, I Know That Girl, LetsDoeIt, AdultTime and FapHouse. On the category page, places 8, 9 and 10 went to Candy AI, which the list itself describes as an AI chat platform, and two AI porn tools, CumZone and MakeHerPorn AI. Three of the top ten paid "porn sites" there are AI products.

What ThePornDude Does Well

The range is huge. We review 13 paid sites, while ThePornDude lists tubes, cams, games, hentai, AI tools and VR side by side, and if a site exists in some niche there's a fair chance it's on one of those lists.

It's fast, too. Every list is one click from the home page, with the outbound link right next to each name, so a whole niche takes a minute to scan. The language switcher offers 28 languages besides English, with German on its own domain, porndudedeutsch.com. I didn't check how good the translations are.

The FAQ is also franker than I expected. It admits the mascot is fictional, names sites the team owns (porndudecasting.com, hentaisites.com, pornwebmasters.com, mygaysites.com and bestporngames.com), and says revenue comes "primarily through affiliate marketing and advertising partnerships". The reviews don't always flatter, either: the Brazzers one spends several paragraphs complaining about upsells and banners inside the members area before it recommends the site anyway.

Where ThePornDude Falls Short

Reviews carry no dates. Neither one I opened says when it was written or last checked. The FapHouse review calls it "a new premium site that popped up at the beginning of April", says it has "over 300,000 videos", and gives the regular price as ten dollars a month, with no year anywhere. The Brazzers review names Mindgeek as the parent company and quotes "$10 a month" on a yearly plan. Either could still be accurate, and you have no way of telling from the page.

The FapHouse review dates the site by "the beginning of April" and shows no year or review date anywhere near the title. ThePornDude FapHouse review, checked October 13, 2026.

Paid placement is allowed and goes unmarked. Point 9 of the FAQ says reviewed sites may have "advertising campaigns, sponsorships, fixed placements, revenue-share arrangements" with ThePornDude. I searched the home page code for a sponsored or ad label on any listing and found none. A place on a list could be the editor's call or a paid spot, and you can't see which. On the home page alone, 144 outbound links go through a pdude.link redirect, and none of them is marked as an affiliate link.

The About page and the FAQ also disagree about ads. About has a section called "No Adverts, Ever!" and promises the site will stay "completely ad-free". The FAQ says it "may also display ads from third-party advertisers". Both pages were live on the same day.

Some of the lists include the team's own sites. The Porn Review Sites category has six entries. Places 2, 3, 5 and 6 are Hentai Sites, BestPornGames.com, MyGaySites and Porn Webmasters, and all four domains are on the FAQ's list of sites the team owns. Place 4 is TPD Deals, the deals extension advertised in ThePornDude's own header.

The FAQ names five sites ThePornDude owns, and four of them fill places 2, 3, 5 and 6 of its Porn Review Sites list. ThePornDude FAQ, checked October 13, 2026.

Then there's the testing. Reviews read like first-person tests ("I finally decided to subscribe"), but the FAQ says experiences attributed to the persona "should not be taken literally". Someone on the team may well have tried the sites, but the page can't tell you who or when.

How Detailed Porn Reviews Works Differently

We're a lot smaller: 13 reviews, all of them large paid brands. I signed up for twelve of them with my own card, used them and cancelled, so the trial rebill and the cancellation flow got tested along with the videos. VIP4K was tested on a review login from its affiliate program, and that review says so in its first paragraphs. Every review shows the date it was last updated at the top.

Scores come out of a formula. Each site gets four grades out of 10, for payment and value, quality, quantity and updates, worked out from facts written down in the review, and the badge is their plain average. The steps and weights are on how we rate, so you can redo the math.

Reviews here go into the small print. In the VIP4K review I list every download size for one 68-minute scene, up to a 51 GB file in 4K. The Brazzers review lists the support channels and live chat hours, and the Met Art review says where you go to cancel.

What you give up is coverage. Looking for a cam site or an AI generator? We don't have one, and ThePornDude probably does. This is also a one-person site with no second reviewer, which how-we-rate says up front. Affiliate links here are marked as sponsored, and no place in a ranking is for sale.

ThePornDude Alternatives

  1. Detailed Porn Reviews, this site. Thirteen hands-on reviews of big paysites with the scoring shown. If our order differs from other lists, why review sites rank differently explains where that comes from.
  2. FapIndex is a catalog and ranking of premium sites. Its home page says it ranks 1,438 adult sites, each scored out of 10 on seven measurable criteria, and every card shows a starting monthly price.
  3. RabbitsReviews is worth a look when price is the question, since its deals menu is sorted by billing length, from 30-day deals up to lifetime offers.
  4. TheBestPorn leans on deals as well: on the day I looked it ran a "Flash Sale" banner, and its menu sends lifetime deals to its partner RabbitsReviews.
  5. Porn Inspector keeps a large review archive (4,869 reviews by its own counter) with star ratings and sample galleries, though its newest review I found is from February 2025.
  6. The Best Fetish Sites is a category directory built around fetish and niche sites, in six languages.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. The site's FAQ calls ThePornDude a fictional character and says a team writes the reviews. On PornDudeCasting.com the character is played by performer Donnie Rock.
Yes. I read the lists and reviews without an account. By its own FAQ, the site earns from affiliate links and advertising.
The FAQ says reviewed sites may have sponsorships or "fixed placements" with ThePornDude, and that these deals don't give a site unrestricted control over its description. On October 13, 2026 I found no label on any listing showing which places are paid.
The About page says over 14,000 sites have been reviewed and the FAQ says over 15,000 reviews. On October 13, 2026 the home page had 157 categories.
No company or owner is named on the About, FAQ or disclaimer pages. The FAQ does list sites the team owns, among them porndudecasting.com, hentaisites.com, pornwebmasters.com, mygaysites.com and bestporngames.com.
It's good for building a shortlist. Before paying, check a dated review from someone who held a real account, like ours of Brazzers or VIP4K.
