For Webmasters and Affiliate Programs

Last updated:

DetailedPornReviews covers twelve large paid porn sites. Every one of them was signed up for with a card, watched on a real account and then cancelled, so the cancellation flow got tested too. One person runs the site: Thalric Bjornfinn, who does the testing and writes the reviews.

Three things bring webmasters here: the short list of sites we send readers to, finding an affiliate program to work with, and getting a site looked at for a review. All three are below.

Sites we send readers to

The list lives on Friends, a normal page linked from the footer of every page here. It is where a reader goes when the question falls outside what this site covers. Right now it holds one entry and that entry is ours, so there is plenty of room and nothing on it is buried under forty other names.

What belongs there: review sites, sites about subscriptions, trials, pricing and payment safety, general adult catalogues with real readers. The topic doesn't have to line up exactly with ours. This is a site about paying for porn, and nobody runs a site about exactly that, so demanding a perfect match would leave the list empty.

What does not: pages with two hundred outgoing links stacked one under another, self-service "add your link" forms, and anyone selling placements. We don't buy or sell them either, so a media kit with a price list is the wrong pitch for this address.

None of that is snobbery about traffic. A page nobody reads and nobody crawls is no use to the reader I would be sending there, and saying so in the first email is cheaper than a polite maybe. If you think your site belongs on the list, write and tell me what it does.

Anchor text: Detailed Porn Reviews. Point it at the homepage or at whichever review or ranking page actually fits your text. A link inside a paragraph about paid sites beats a button in a sidebar, if you have the choice.

The button is 120x60 and lives here:

Looking for an affiliate program

We don't run one. What we do have is a sister project that catalogues them: the affiliate program directory on FapIndex, with commission rates, payout schemes, payment terms and notes on the ones that have been audited.

It is the fastest way to see who pays revshare and who pays per signup, which programs have deeplinks worth using, and which ones have a reputation problem before you send them traffic. If you run a program yourself and it isn't listed, or the entry is out of date, tell us and it gets fixed.

Getting your site reviewed

Reviews here are written from a paid account, so a review request starts with access. Send the site URL, a working login or a test account, and the affiliate program you run through. If there is something specific you want looked at, say what it is.

What gets graded and how the score in the badge is put together is written out on How We Rate. Short version: payment and value, quality, quantity, update frequency, four separate grades out of ten, and a headline score that is a judgement rather than their average. Those same grades order the ranking pages, so a review puts a site on those lists as well.

Two things worth saying plainly. A review is not for sale, and the affiliate relationship does not set the score: eleven of the twelve sites here carry a headline score below the average of their own grades. And there's no queue with a promised date. This is a twelve review site run by one person, sites get added when there is time to test one properly, and a slow no is more likely than a fast yes.
