TheBestPorn (TBP) has been reviewing paysites since 2003: its FAQ puts the official launch on December 22, 2003. I went through it on October 13, 2026: the home page, the grading page, the FAQ, the legal page and six full reviews, five of them for brands I've reviewed here.
TBP is a huge database of paysites, with prices and billing details for each and a written review for many. For a quick read on almost any paysite, it's a good place to start. It's weaker on explaining how a score was reached, and I'd check the review date before trusting any number in it.

What TheBestPorn Is and Who It Suits
The home page calls TBP "your complete adult buyer's guide to the best porn sites & reviews." In practice it's a catalog sorted by niche, with menus for new reviews, new sites, top sites, discounts, an A-Z index, porn companies and upcoming reviews. Every reviewed listing carries its price and score.
It works if you want a shortlist of paysites in one niche, say BBW or vintage, or if you already have a site in mind and want the trial terms and the billing company before you sign up. It's less useful if you want someone to tell you what the members area felt like last week.
How many reviews it has is hard to pin down. The sitemap lists 29,629 review URLs, but plenty of them open on a plain "Unreviewed Porn Sites" list. I couldn't find a current count anywhere on the site. The FAQ's only figure is from October 2009: over 15,000 sites profiled, over 5,600 of them reviewed.
How TBP Reviews and Scores Sites
A full TBP review follows a fixed layout: a short intro, "Our Price", a row of letter grades, then Pros, Cons and a Bottom Line. Below that sits the part I like most, a facts sheet with the parent company, the last content update, the last review update, scene and model counts, file formats with bitrate and resolution, every plan, the accepted cards, the billing processors and links to outside reviews.
The score is a number out of 100, labelled Awesome, Excellent, Great, Good or Average. The "Grade Criteria" page, last modified October 29, 2021, is frank about where it comes from: "it's not computed." Each reviewer gets "complete freedom to decide how the site should rank," and on how they decide, the page says "they have a feel for this stuff by now." The letter grades for downloads, streaming, interface, video count and quality "are not factored into the final score." The FAQ adds that price isn't part of the score either.
TBP publishes no weights, so there's no formula to draw, only what the site puts in writing about its score:

So a TBP score is one experienced reviewer's overall judgement. I respect that the site says so plainly, though it leaves you nothing to check the number against.
What TheBestPorn Does Well
The billing detail is the best thing on the site. The Adult Time review names Epoch and SegPay as processors, lists the trial ($1.00 for 3 days, recurring at $29.95) and the yearly plan ($119.40), and warns about "One pre-checked" cross-sale. That's what you want in front of you right before a checkout.
The A-Z index also runs deep into solo model sites and small niche paysites, next to the big brands. And the big brands do get revisited: JAV HD was updated September 23, 2026, Zero Tolerance on October 2, 2026.
I also like that TBP points you elsewhere. Reviews link to outside review sites, and user reviews from PornUsers.com show on the site pages. The upcoming reviews page lists what's assigned and what's finished, and an outdated review is meant to get a fresh one from a different reviewer.
Where It Falls Short
Review dates drift. The FAQ says "We never like to see reviews older than 2 years," yet TBP's VIP 4K review was last updated February 10, 2023 and still talks about "the 404 videos." When I went through VIP4K's members area on October 5, 2026, its full video list held 1,047, more than twice what the TBP review describes. My VIP4K review has the count by channel.
The method pages are old too. The grading page dates from 2021, and the FAQ still describes a "review 2.0 format" launched in August 2009 and names four editors. It says only "a handful of sites" score above 90, while the top ten on the home page run from 94.0 to 97.0.
Disclosure is thin. "Visit site" buttons go through a tracking redirect, out.php, with no sponsored label on the link, and I found no affiliate disclosure page in the footer. The FAQ does say the site was built to refer "more paying customers (resulting in profits)" and that partner sites set up its discounts. Reviews don't carry an author byline.
Who Runs TheBestPorn
Who runs the site is spelled out in the legal text. TBP's privacy policy names 4th Whale Marketing Inc. and gives a rabbitsreviews.com address for privacy requests. The RabbitsReviews privacy policy names the same company. The TBP menu even links to "Lifetime Deals from RR."
How Detailed Porn Reviews Does It Differently
This site is small on purpose: 13 reviews of large paid brands, written and checked by one person, me. Every site was tested on a real account. Twelve of the 13 I paid for with my own card, used and then cancelled, so the cancel flow got tested too. VIP4K was tested on a review login from its affiliate program, and that review says so at the top.
The scores work the other way round from TBP's. Each site gets four grades, payment and value, quality, quantity and updates, and each one is calculated from facts written down in the review. The badge is their average. The steps are published on how we rate, so you can redo the maths.
Price is the biggest difference. TBP leaves it out of the score; here it's a whole grade. That's why JAV HD scores 88 out of 100 on TBP and 6.5 out of 10 in my JAV HD review, where payment and value gets a 6. How one brand ends up at different heights on different lists is the subject of why porn review sites rank differently.

FapIndex is a catalog and rating of adult sites. Go there when the site you want isn't among my 13.
3. RabbitsReviews
RabbitsReviews reviews premium and paid porn sites. Its privacy policy names the same company as TBP's, so the two sites are related. It won't give you a second, independent opinion.
4. ThePornDude
ThePornDude lists free tubes alongside premium sites, so it suits you if you haven't decided yet whether to pay at all.
5. TheBestFetishSites
TheBestFetishSites is built around fetish and niche lists and says it has selected over 3,000 sites. Worth a look if your niche is narrow.
6. PornInspector
PornInspector keeps an archive of 4,869 paysite reviews by its own counter, but the newest one I found there dates from February 2025.
